Beginning his Bujinkan studies in August of 2005, Jay has since learned that there is nothing in life that cannot be aided by the Budo perspective,

and he tries to apply it to his everyday living as much as is possible. He feels that training in Japan as well as with numerous traveling seminar instructors has helped him to achieve the position he's now in,  Currently Nidan (November 2008), Jay travels to Japan as often as possible to continue his education in Budo.

Don't be fooled by his youthful appearance; he graduated from the University of Minnesota's College of Liberal Arts in 2003 with a degree in English.
